What is Louisiana Army Explorers?
A non profit youth exploration program for teens ages 13-17 all over the State of Louisiana, exposing them to what career opportunities are in the military and provide them first hand knowledge and experience in the many military occupational skills.
The mission of the Louisiana Army Explorers is to positively impact America's future by providing quality youth development and military career exploration programs for boys and girls that nurtures and develops its members into responsible citizen who enjoy and promote a healthy, drug-free, crime-free lifestyle.
Is there a military obligation upon completion?
No. There is no military obligation associated with our program. However, there are incentives (such as advanced rank) for those cadets interested in pursuing a military career.
What is the financial obligation?
No more than a summer camp. Details will be explained during the screening and enrollment process.
Is this a boot camp for delinquent youth?
No. The Louisiana Army Explorers holds its members to high ethical and moral standards consistent with those of the U.S. military. Cadets are also expected to maintain an acceptable collegiate grade point average and participate in community/civic advancement projects.
When are activities held?
This unit has Monthly Unit Training Assemblies (MUTA) one weekend each month and cadets have the option to attend annual training through the national program for two weeks during the summer.
Where are activities held?
Headquarters and Alpha Company conducts monthly drills in Dequincy, Louisiana, and several other locations or training sites throughout the State.

The cadet and adult applications can be printed from the 'Forms' page. Then complete the form on the RECRUITING Page, and you will be contacted within 24 hours for the next step.
